Will you meet for free to discuss what I need?

Collapsible content

Answer

Absolutely!

We always meet with our potential clients to discuss what you need and make sure the fit of working together feels right.

The process before any fees are charged generally goes something like this:
o Contact us about your need
o We meet to discuss your goals, ideas and organisation generally first
o You just need to know what you want to achieve, we’ll help you work through
what’s required to get there so you don’t need to do work just to get us started
o We meet as many times as is required to be clear what we can help with, what you’ll do yourself and what won’t be done
o We provide a proposal detailing deliverables, timelines, costs and our standard terms (we can review yours and work to them if you’d prefer)
o We refine the proposal together to ensure outcomes, value and expectations are clear
o You sign or just send us an email reply to say yep lets gets started!

From here it goes like this:
o We meet with you and provide regular updates during the engagement and produce the agreed deliverables on time at the agreed rate
o We value your feedback any time
o Result: You have progressed your strategic plan in a low-risk, cost-effective manner

How do I define what I need when I need your help because I don’t know what’s involved and don’t have time to find out?

Answer

You just need to know what you want to achieve, we’ll help you work through what’s required to get there so you don’t need to do work just to get us started.

If we need to do some exploratory work on a topic to be able to give you a more detailed proposal or exact costs and deadlines, we can agree on an hourly rate and a maximum number of hours as phase 1. This way we do the research of what’s required, what’s already out there to answer your questions (no way we want to be reinventing the wheel, if we can refer you to other people’s resources we will!) and present you with next steps once we know the options. From there you can decide how or if you want us to keep working on the topic for you or if we even need to.

What do services cost?

Collapsible content

Answer

We work with you to implement an arrangement which ensures substantial value and desired
outcomes are achieved within targeted timeframes.
We can work to an agreed project budget or hourly rate.
For project budgets our proposals detail costs of each separate section so you can pick and choose
the most important bits you need done or bits you think are best value if you need to.
You can always collaborate with others who need the same work completed as you if required. We
can also try and find you partners to collaborate with – see ‘Can I collaborate with others to engage
your services?’
Check out our training packages already available, if this is the help you’re after these prices are
listed.

At what stage do I pay?

Collapsible content

Answer

For hourly rate engagements we invoice at the end of each month for hours completed during the month.

For project budgets we outline the payment timing in our proposal and make sure its commensurate with delivering a substantial amount of work so you can see our quality and progress and feel comfortable before having to pay any invoices.

How do other public hospitals access funds to pay you?

Collapsible content

Answer

Setting up a short term project officer role is an option for longer projects; external contactor and sign up via procurement department processes; allied health manager expenditure budgets; multiple facilities who need the same work done combining parts of left over FTE - these are all ways that have worked in different scenarios. Usually if there is a clear work need, the organisations senior management can find a way.

What are your standard terms?

Answer

We want to make this bit easy so here’s a copy of the terms we work to if you don’t have your own terms you want us to consider. We’re happy to discuss any points you’d like to adjust.
